Last year I went crazy (I'm sane now!) and shopped the entire Etude House brush collection, not that I needed this brush collection which I've realized the day after I've paid haha. Today I'm going to review these brushes for you and I hope it helps you find the best brush for you :)
Before you continue...
1. This is a kind of full/first impression review, which I always do for brushes. Personally if I think the brush feels good, looks good, behaves good etc (those checks), then I'll love it when I use it with makeup too. It never happened that I didn't like a brush after using it with makeup and I said I loved it before. But if I really hate it I'll let you know soon enough (but that is rare!)
2. I've searched the cheapest prices for you at shops I trust 100% and never had problems with. These shops are TesterKorea, Jolse, Beautynet Korea, Cosmetic Love, Twofacemall and RoseRoseShop on ebay. These shops all offer free shipping (except for TesterKorea, but they have super low prices!) and they mark their parcels as "gift" and with a very low value to avoid customs.
3. I'll write down all the current prices of the brushes, but if you read this post a week later they might have changed during sales etc. Click the names of the shop written before the price to see the brush in that shop.
4. You obviously can get these brushes at the Etude House global website, but I always avoid official brand websites; they mark their parcels as "commercial" or with exact value which always causes problems at customs.
1. Etude House - My Beauty Tool Soft Cream Puff
TesterKorea: $5.52 / Jolse: $5.98 / Cosmetic Love: $7.94 / Twofacemall: $9.50 / RoseRoseShop: $6.36
2. Etude House - My Beauty Tool Secret Skin Finger Puff
1. Soft Cream Puff
This Soft Cream Puff is ideal for all types of makeup application.
How to use
Pat the Soft Cream Puff onto the liquid foundation or BB Cream and softly dab it on your skin.
Review
When I bought this I thought it would kind of similar to the beauty blender, but only the shape is similar. I hoped it felt soft and spongy, but sadly it totally doesn't. It's literally a puff in a shape of a beauty blender; it can't absorb water. But this puff is so hard when I press or softly tap it on my skin, it really hurts, because it isn't really bouncy. When I press it against my face softly, it feels like I'm bruising myself and after it still hurts. You can use it in a wipe movement and it hurts less, but overall I really don't like it.
2. Secret Skin Finger Puff
This Skin Finger Puff is uniquely curved to face shape, providing the ultimate ease of makeup application. The design of the puff is ideal for applying makeup to hard-to-reach areas.
How to use
Pat the Skin Finger Puff onto the foundation and directly dab it on your skin. Repeat process until the foundation is evenly covered on your face. Apply it from larger area to smaller area. (In order of cheeks, forehead, nose, and chin)
Review
This is again a puff but because of the shape and how you would use it it doesn't hurt at all. With this puff you mostly do this wiping moment (if this is the correct word lol) and you can lightly tap with one side. Why this doesn't hurt is; because of the different layers of the puff which bends softly when you tap. Also the shape is very convenient and you can reach in those hard corners and concealer under your eye in one sweep. I'm not sure how long this puff will last after you try and clean it often (will the puff hold in the handle?) But this puff is fun, is it a must have ...hmm I would say stick with your beauty blender.
3. Etude House - My Beauty Tool Brush 210 Lip
Jolse: $5.18 / Cosmetic Love: $4.45 / Twofacemall: $4.40
4. Etude House - My Beauty Tool Secret Brush 211 Auto Lip

3. Brush 210 Lip
This Lip Brush helps apply lipstick or lip gloss evenly to the lips.
How to use
Natural Look: Exfoliate and moisturize your lips. Dab the lip brush on the lipstick about 6 times and start applying the lip color from the center to outer lips.
Korean Gradient: Apply a lip concealer or foundation on your lips. Make sure the concealer matches with your skin tone. Using the lip brush, apply the pigmented color on the inner side of your lips. Smoothen the lipstick out a bit by dapping it with your brush or finger.
Review
This brush is quite stiff and only bends half way when you want to apply your lip product. I do feel that this brush works best with all kinds of lip products but don't go for the too dark colors, because it doesn't feel precise enough for it. You won't color outside of your lip line with it lol but it just works better with regular colors. Less scary ;)
4. Secret Brush 211 Auto Lip
This Auto Slide in-and-out Lip Brush helps apply lipstick or lip gloss evenly to the lips.
Review
This brush I do recommend to apply your darker lip colors. The brush is much more straight, smaller, and it does bends 2/3 more than the other one. It feels so much more precise, because of the more precise point you can draw to perfection. Plus that it looks super cute and tiny when you close the brush by sliding it down.

Review
This brush is really good! The hairs on the wide side are very tight and it bends on the end. When you stroke the brush against your skin the hairs will stay in the same flat shape, meaning the brush won't stroke wider as it is. It's super duper soft and I think it's perfect for a thicker consistency concealer under the eyes. The small pointy brush on the other side is also very tight, and it bends slightly on really at tip of the brush. It's super pointy and precise. if you press it too hard on your skin you can really poke yourself with it but not painfully or anything. It's perfect to apply concealer on impurities. It's the only brush I have that's so pointy, I love it!
4. Brush 120 Foundation
This Foundation Brush is ideal for flawless and smooth application of foundation or BB Cream.
How to use
Apply a small amount of liquid or cream foundation onto the back of your hand. Dab with brush and smooth over face. Use broad strokes to sweep and blend the makeup onto the nose, forehead, cheeks and chin. Use edges of the brush to blend the makeup into those hard-to-reach areas, like the corners of the nose, hairline and around the eyes and mouth.
Review
I kind of never use brushes like these, since I always have the feeling I get a streaky look when using these type of brushes. Maybe I need a different type of foundation for this; thicker? What is lovely about this brush is that you can reach small parts easier, like around your nose, under your eyes etc. The brush is tight but bends easy, and it feels super soft. But have no use for it, yet!:).
5. Secret Brush 121 Skin
Skin brush that helps easily smooth fluid foundation over the skin for a flawless finish.
Replace the head with Refillable Sponge and dab the makeup onto your face, making for smooth, all over coverage.
Review
So apparently this is a dupe for a Mac brush if I'm correct. This brush is super dense and soft. Sometimes brushes are so soft they feel cold, this brush feels kind of warm. The hairs are tight and bend slightly. It glides over your skin is amazing. This brush also reaches corners of your skin very easy, so compared the previous brush; this one is heaven! The puff is also useful to pat and smooth out your foundation at the end. The puff is quite soft compared to the other puffs in this post. I'm not sure with what foundation I'll use with this brush yet, but we'll see!
6. Secret Brush 130 Contour
Contour Brush used to make a seamlessly sculpted, slimming appearance for your face.
If your powdered makeup products are leaving flecks behind, a light sweep of the Contour Brush can easily wipe away the excess too.
How to use
Swirl the Contour Brush around in your bronzer powder or a dark powder. Gently apply it on your jawline, on the sides of your nose and under your chin. This will make your face look more sculptured and slim.
Review
When I looked at this brush I kind of thought that this brush was going to be a total fail. The brush is soft, but slightly less soft as the other brushes, since the brown brushes use "real" hair and others are synthetic. This brush is super bendable, and spreads out when strokes to hard on the skin. This brush is really meant to contour, so you hardly touch your skin with it, just sweep it lightly. I've never seen a contour brush like this before and it's the first I have. I really, relly love it. So useful!
7. Brush 140 Powder
This uniquely shaped Powder Brush evenly applies powders and mineral foundation for smooth, high definition results.
How to use
Dip the Powder Brush into the powder and swirl. Tap the brush on the side of the container to shake off excess powder. Brush powder onto face using light pressure. Start at the jaw line and move to the nose area. Then move to the chin area and the forehead.
Review
This is more like a veil kind of rush than a powder brush, since it's so pointy. So when you want to powder your face with this brush you; you hold it at an angle so the side and top touches your face and then sweep all over. I kind of like the motion of when you put the top of the brush against your face and make swirl move all over way more. But this brush is good for your when you wear really liquidy foundation and you want to powder it off. Then with this brush you can softly pat the powder on. The brush is super soft, bendable and spreads out when your stroke your face. It's good but I hoped is was less pointy and had more of a flat dome kind of shape.
8. Brush 150 Blush & Contour
This multi-use Blush&Contour Brush effectively applies powder blush and dark powder, enabling you to effectively sculpt the face.
How to use
Blush: Dip the Brush into your powder blush and swirl. Tap the brush on the side of the container to shake off excess powder. Apply the blush to the center of the apple on one side of your face, blending the color along your cheekbone. Repeat on your other cheek, making sure taking care to match the placement and color of the blush on both cheeks. Brush downward at the end of blending, to allow the facial hairs to lie smoothly on your skin's surface.
Contour: This angled brush is effective also allows for precision and great for sculpting and contouring the face. Swirl the Brush around in your bronzer powder or a dark powder. Gently apply it on your jawline, on the sides of your nose and under your chin. This will make your face look more sculptured and slim slimmer.
Review
This brush is very basic but good. This brush also has "real" hair and so feels kind of ichy-poke like when you touch your face with it. Or maybe I have just too sensitive skin. The hairs bend nicely and spread out when you stroke your face. Personally I hardly ever wear blush, no clue why actually, but I don't. So when I do I often just use the cute fluffy puffs that come with the blushes, never use a brush like these. Maybe it's time it should but I'm not sure if I'll use this brush for it. Not soft enough.
9. Secret Brush 160 Duo Fiber
This Duo Fiber brush is made with 2 different synthetic fibers that deliver a brush with resilient and elastic texture.
How to use
Using the Duo Fiber brush, apply highlighter on your forehead, down the center of your nose, the middle of your upper lip, the middle of your chin, your under-eye area, and right above your cheekbones. If your powdered makeup products are leaving flecks behind, a light sweep swipe of the Duo Fiber Brush can easily wipe away the excess too.
Review
At first I already thought this was a blush brush since the application of is is very light. But it's apparently often used for highlighting, well fine by me. Also something I don't do so often, which I should just because. These hairs are super soft and are bend slightly. When I will use highlighter more I know I'm going to love this brush. It's really good!

How to use
Swirl Eye shadow into the brush and lightly tap to remove excess. Using the Eye-Base Brush, apply a base shadow on the lower lid and crease or the entire eyelid.
Review
This is really a nice eyeshadow brush. It bends slightly and feels very soft, even though it has "real" hairs is doesn't poke your skin. I think this brush will work perfectly with cafe or easy crumble shadows, since it's so soft. I sometimes hate it when I want to pick up shadow and I kind of crush my eyeshadows with my brush, so this one will really help me not do that ;)
13. Brush 311 Shadow Blending
Eye Shadow Brush for blending or adding highlight on your eyelid. The small and soft bristles of this brush allow for a soft, smudgy liner look.
How to use
Swirl Eye shadow into the brush and lightly tap to remove excess. Using the Eye-Blending Brush, spread and blend your eye shadow on your eyelid from the inner to the outer corner of the eye.
Review
This brush is amazing! Just as soft as the shadow base brush even though this one has also "real hairs" Also when you put this brush into your crease it also feels soft. The brush bends nicely but stays in shape. what I like about this brush is the size, since it's quite a small blending brush compared to the one I already had. Also the shape is slightly pointed which makes precision in your crease very easy. I really love this brush!
14. Brush 312 Shadow Point
Eye Shadow Brush for creating an intense eye color application on your eyelid.
How to use
Swirl Eye shadow into the brush and lightly tap to remove excess. Using the Eye-Point Brush, apply eye color on your eyelid until the desired amount of color intensity is achieved.
Review
I'm super happy with this brush since I was looking for the perfect under eye eyeshadow brush. This brush tinkles a bit more with its "real hairs", but this is because it's shorter and bends less. This is a flat brush and the shape is also a bit pointy (on picture it looks more round), which makes application perfect! This brush was a must in my collection!
15. Brush 313 Shadow Tip Block
Soft and elastic Eye Shadow Block-Tip for applying eye shadow on your eyelid.
How to use
Dip the eye shadow tip into eye shadow. Using a patting motion, apply eye shadow to entire eyelid.
Review
Why would we ever buy these horrible old fashioned things? ...Well these babies mimic our fingers perfect when you want to apply those hard-to-pick-up-eyeshadows or those brush-can't-touch-it-eyeshadows. It feels super soft and spongy. 100 times better than those you get extra in your eyeshadow palettes, no matter how expensive the palette these tips are better and softer than those.
16. Brush 320 Eyeliner
Eyeliner Brush for applying Gel Eyeliners or Cream Eyeliners in smooth, continuous lines.
How to use
Add the gel eyeliner to the brush. Apply eyeliner from the center of the eyelid at the lash line and extend to the outer corner. Then draw a line from the inner corner to the center of your eye to connect two lines.
Review
This brush is super soft and has symthetic kind of hair again, same as the concealer brush. This brush is super duper soft. For eyeliner I think you can only set a normal to big line, since this brush is too thick to apply a super thin line. If you want a thin line for eyeliner than you can better just buy a nice felt tip eyeliner. But also this brush could really come in handy for hard-to-pick-up-eyeshadows for under my eyes. You know those creamy glitter ones, horrible to work with but so pretty. This is a good multi use eyeliner.
17. Brush 351 Brow Brush
This Eyebrow Brush is used to precisely fill in and help shape eyebrows.
How to use
Dip the Eyebrow Brush in brow powder or eye shadow. Brush the powder along the brows.
Review
This brush is very soft and bends very easily, which I don't think is that great. Well maybe if you only want to apply brow powder then this brush is perfect to get that natural look. If you want to define your brows with a brow gel then this brush might, just might be too soft. I would think a more stiff brush would be nicer to define your brows. But hey, I hardly ever use stuff on my brows. Mostly it's just a pencil and I'll smudge it a bit with a brow screw brush. But it's a good brush, but too bendable for me.
18. Brush 352 Brow Screw
Eyebrow Screw used to shape eyebrows with precision. This is also used to remove excess powder from the eyebrows.
How to use
Using the Eyebrow Screw, brush your eyebrows in the direction of how they are grown.
Review
Well hello the brush I just talked about. These always come in handy. When I was younger I always confused these with those useless eyelash combs. I did however recently bought myself an eyebrow kit from Elf, so this thing might come in handy. I don't know much else to say about it. It's a good soft, but firm brow screw.
Bubble Cup
I keep these brushes in this amazing bubble cup I've found in a thrift store once. I really, really love glass with bubbles in them! It's a secret obsession! Btw I don't keep the little finger puff and tiny brush puff in the cup, just put it there for the picture :)
