My poem about Douglas & Mont Blanc
Enlarge to read it
It is written in Dutch since it was a Dutch Giveaway I've entered. As I've explained in all my recent "high end" blog posts I've started shopping at my local "high end" store called; Douglas. As you also know my moms birthday gift to me was bought at Douglas, and was the Mont Blanc - Lady Emblem Eau de Parfum. How to win this giveaway was to write a poem about Douglas & Mont Blanc. This was in celebration of their new scent, which I recently got :)

Short translated version of the poem
So to all my English readers, I shall short tell you what my poem is aboutbut most of you already know this since this poem is a short version of some of my recent blogposts :)
This poem starts with how I can rhyme but how I will not, how I can write in English but also will not. And that I have dyslexia and there might be some grammar mistakes.
In the second part I explained how I didn't know what I wanted for my birthday and that I needed to look closely to my wishlist in deep inside my heart. And Then how one day I spontaneous walked into Douglas.
The third part is about how I found two OPI nail polishes there and bought them from my grandmothers birthday money. Then Shortly after I've about another color. And then I've bought my first Douglas customer cart.
In the fourth part how I recently changed my shopping mind setting from budget to chic (high end or good quality), I've almost shopped there every week. Searching for new and perfect makeup. And how I liked their deals, their staff, my favorite store.
The fifth part is about how I received a few perfume samples and a magazine (with my Douglas card). Among them was the Lady Emblem perfume sample and I fell in love immediately. My sister said it would be a nice gift from my mother and that she would gift me my first high end lipstick (which I soon haul & review). To be sure I focused on the info about the perfume.
In the sixth part I write I how read the scent description ad how I was shocked, it matches me and everything about me so well, (als I also written in my review).
In the seventh part I tell how I wear this perfume daily, that everyone around me loves it too, and how it's truly my signature scent. The scent also helps me remind me to keep up my "chic" shopping mind setting.
In the eight part I write how I've written a blog post about this perfume with the link to it. And how Douglas and Mont Blanc gave me a beautiful and new look upon life.

This poem is not really a poem since I doesn't sound "art-like" at all. It's merely my experience with Douglas & Mont Bland written in a rhyme.

Invitation
The giveaway ended a long time ago, I already gave up on hope.
Then at the end of January I suddenly got a call from Douglas, I couldn't believe what I heard. They told me it took some time to read all poems and that they picked me as the winner! Because it was such a special prize they wanted to officially hand the pen over, so we set a date on  5 January. Sadly that week I had to call it off since I was terrible ill and had no voice at all. So the new date was on 12 January. I felt much better, but still not the old me and hardly no voice, but more than the last time. I had no idea what was going to happen...

What a surprise!
When I walked into Douglas and said who I was; they gave me a hand and asked what I wanted to drink and if I had a minute. Then they came with flowers, cake and the gift!
This kind lady works at Douglas and this man represented Mont Blanc and handed over the pen.

First touch!
I carefully unwrapped everything and then I took out the pen, OMG!
I was really speechless! I'm still speechless when I look at this picture remembering that moment. Me... winning this pen... unbelievable!

Cake!
Normally I never eat pie, cake, flan or like big happening/birthday treats. So to say no to this one would be weird, since it was especially bought for this moment. So a big step in Marjolein's history; I said yes... and I loved it!! I even called back later to ask the name of the cake :D

Flowers
I've already revealed these in the post before this one. This bouquet is so pretty and I love it! I even dried some in a big heavy book and the rose is currently still hanging upside down to also dry. Every time I looked at these flowers I was reminded of the epic moment when I received my pen in Douglas.

Perfectly wrapped
The pen came in a black Mont Blanc bag and wrapped in Mont Blanc gift wrapping and this ribbon. I've rolled up the ribbon and placed it in one of my glass picture frames and now it looks like a Mont Blanc rose. The pen was in this thick box laying in a cushion as you can see in the first picture.

Book & certificate
This little book came with it. There is some short info about Princesse Grace de Monaco and about all the collections including my pen. Information about the pretty pink rose. Also details on how to us it, open it, care for it. In the back there is info about my pen with an individual number, date and Mont Blanc stamp with signature.

Review
Seriously... a review... lol... best review ever!
They man who represented Mont Blanc told me that Mont Blanc pens are not called pens but Writing instruments. Because everyone has pens and these "pens" stand above that status. So therefore they are called writing instruments. I think that is very cool! But I'm going to stick with pen in this review, else it gets confusion and too long ;) Normally I kind of avoid writing with pen and paper and let others do it, because almost always the (budget) pens I use scrape the paper and gives me negative goose bumps (like nails over a school board) This Mont Blanc pen is amazing! When you write with it (on any paper; budget or good quality), you glide over it! No bump, no scrape, no nothing. It's the pen for me, and it's mine :D Also the pen feels super soft to hold and has a little weight to it. Feels super comfy in my hand! I absolutely love this pen!
